Do I need to play the first Dungeons?

No. The official FAQ says you can start with Dungeons II. It's the action RPG sequel to Minecraft Dungeons, separate from Java and Bedrock.

If you're here to explore The Sift in your survival world, you're waiting for the 2027 Minecraft update. Dungeons II has its own game, character, and gear.

Can you walk straight into that rift?

Watch 3:15 on YouTube

At 3:15, the team points out a route into The Sift but holds off entering. They arrive around 5:50. The demonstration gives you a route to watch, without establishing the retail game's first-entry requirements.

Use it to recognize the setting. Don't copy it as an Ancient City portal recipe for vanilla Minecraft.

Meadows looks inviting. Watch your step.

Watch 6:02 on YouTube

The team names this area Meadows at 6:02. From 6:59, they explain that its dangerous liquid drains both health and souls. At 7:22, they introduce Blub, a creature that enjoys bathing in it.

That's a useful warning before you follow the local wildlife into that liquid. These are Dungeons II mechanics; they don't establish the rules for the 2027 vanilla dimension.

Teammate down? More hands make a faster revive.

Watch 7:40 on YouTube

At 7:40, the developers explain that reviving a teammate is faster when more players help. It's worth discussing with your party before a messy fight. The demo doesn't give an exact revive-time multiplier.

Late-game boss spoilers

Show boss details and video timestamp

Watch 8:20 on YouTube

At 8:20, the team introduces the Monarch as a late-game boss. Around 9:13, they explain that it creates a copy partway through the fight. Taking down the Monarch defeats both, although the team describes that option as harder.

That tells you why another target appears. It doesn't establish an optimal build, drop table or farming route.

Where do I farm the gear?

This preview isn't a loot guide. We don't have a verified Sift drop table or repeatable farming route to give you. Keep Mielon's Java mod equipment separate when looking up items with similar names.
